Research of Radio Jingles
In our first lesson of our Radio Jingle rotation we looked at different Radio Jingles that are used on the Radio today and are recognisable so the public know the Radio station and the DJ.
I researched Chris Moyles morning show Jingle I found out that it is 1minute 43seconds and it is played in the morning during the show so that people know what show it is that they are listening to and they know what time it is on so they can tune in tomorrow.
The Radio Jingle includes SFX and music in the background which are and a V/O telling the listeners all the information that they need to know about the show such as the name of the show and the time it is on. I think that the jingle is quite effective as it is a catchy tune and it gives you the information that you need however I think that it is a little long and would be better if it was a little shorter in length.
I also looked at over Jingles that I know such as BBC Radio Suffolk and Town 102 and Heart I think that all of these Jingles are very effective as they are very easy to remember and very catchy and even if you don't listen to these Radio stations you still know them as they are very short and get straight to the point.
My Idea For My Own Radio Jingle
I decided to include in my Jingle lots of the new tracks that are out at the moment in order to show the listeners that on the show I would play all the latest tracks and that I would keep up to date and that will of hopefully of persuaded people to listen to my show.
